Eric Wong, Ph.D. is the Founder and Principal of Myko Labs, LLC. Eric has spent more than 20 years of work experience in wireless (WLAN, WPAN, and LPWAN) protocols, systems designs, feature roadmaps, product development, and product life cycles at multiple Fortune 500 companies and a startup.
Throughout his career, Eric has gone through multiple product life cycles. He has invented proprietary protocols, algorithms, wireless architectures, and systems solutions used in products like Broadcom Wi-Fi chips, Apple products, Amazon Sidewalk, Amazon Just Walk Out (JWO), and Mimosa Network point-to-point fixed wireless solutions.
Eric has contributed several mandatory MAC features to the IEEE 802.11ah (Wi-Fi HaLow) and IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) standards. Eric also served as the MAC co-chair for the IEEE 802.11ax standards development group. Eric is a Senior Member of IEEE.
Eric holds a Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego, a Master of Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore. All in wireless networking and communications. He has co-authored more than 50 U.S. and international patents.
